Trump Wants Biden To Stop What?

On Monday, President-elect Donald Trump urged the Biden administration to halt the sale of unused border wall materials that were acquired but not used during his previous term.

Speaking from his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, Trump indicated he might pursue legal action and mentioned discussions with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and other state officials about possibly seeking a restraining order.

“We’re about to spend hundreds of millions more to build a wall we technically already own,” Trump remarked. “It feels like a criminal waste.”

Last year, Congress mandated the disposal of these surplus border wall components through the National Defense Authorization Act. This law permits the materials to be sold or given to southern border states, provided they are used to repair existing barriers rather than construct new ones. The legislation also requires the Pentagon to manage and report the costs of storing these unused materials.

“I am formally requesting that Joe Biden cease the sales of these wall materials,” Trump stated.

Despite describing the transition of power from Biden to his administration as “amicable,” Trump expressed discontent with policies allowing some federal employees to continue teleworking. He warned that under his administration, government workers would need to return to the office or face termination.
