The centerpiece? A fragment from Clinton’s recent sit-down with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, where she advocated for what she termed a “formal deprogramming” of the followers of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement.
“Perhaps a systematic deprogramming of these cult adherents is necessary,” Clinton suggested during her earlier interview this month.
She didn’t stop there, lamenting, “Regrettably, it’s those MAGA extremists who hang on every word from Donald Trump — a man who, by all accounts, has exhausted his credibility. He’s playing a game for his gain.” The ad doesn’t shy away from taking a jab at “Bidenomics,” a moniker for the current president’s economic strategies.
The ad’s narrator counters, “There’s just one tiny hiccup. The working-class Americans aren’t fools. They’re clear about who’s really fighting for them.”
Cue a segment of Trump addressing an audience, delving into economic woes like inflation — a sore point among his base, who are vocally critical of Biden’s economic management.
“To the American labor force, witnessing their earnings dwindle and inflation eroding their households and existence — I stand with you,” asserts Trump in the featured snippet.
Accompanying the video’s release on Truth Social, Trump penned a single word: “BRAINWASHED.”
