Trump Traitor Comes Crawling Back To Him

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), who was recently targeted by President-elect Trump for a primary challenge, attended a meeting of the House Freedom Caucus at Mar-a-Lago this past Friday. Despite the tension, Roy was part of a significant gathering that included notable figures such as Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), and Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.), along with over a dozen other members.

Rep. Eli Craine (R-Ariz.) captured the moment with a photograph inside Mar-a-Lago, highlighting the presence of these members. He later commented, “Great night at Mar-a-Lago with the House Freedom Caucus. We joined President Trump and Elon Musk for dinner to discuss the path forward.”

This meeting came after Trump openly criticized Roy last month, suggesting that Texas Republicans should consider running against him in the primary due to his actions during the government funding talks in December, which included a contentious push to raise the debt ceiling. Trump labeled him “very unpopular” and accused him of seeking “cheap publicity.”

On the agenda for the Mar-a-Lago meeting, members expressed their intentions to align with Trump on strategic legislative goals without overspending. This aligns with the broader Republican effort to effectively pass Trump’s legislative priorities concerning border security, energy, tax cuts, and other key issues. There’s an ongoing debate within the party about whether to package these initiatives into two separate bills or combine them into one comprehensive bill, with the Freedom Caucus favoring the former and Trump advocating for the latter, calling it “one big, beautiful bill.”
