Trump To Be Nominated For Nobel Prize

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) announced on Monday that he is nominating President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. The congressman shared the news in a post on X, stating, “Today I will nominate @realDonaldTrump for the Nobel Peace Prize. No one deserves it more.”

Issa did not initially provide a specific reason for his nomination, but a later statement from his office pointed to Trump’s diplomatic efforts in the Middle East. Jonathan Wilcox, Issa’s deputy chief of staff and communications director, explained that Issa recently led a Congressional delegation to four Middle Eastern nations, where he observed firsthand how leaders in the region are embracing diplomacy and moving away from conflict.

According to Wilcox, Trump has played a key role in fostering this spirit of peace, and his influence has shaped global discussions on conflict resolution. He emphasized that from the moment Trump was elected and took office, he has worked to inspire and promote peace, something Wilcox argues has been lacking in international leadership for many years.

Wilcox also noted that Trump’s vision for global stability extends beyond a single region, stating that his push for peace is becoming evident across multiple areas of the world. By nominating Trump for the prestigious award, Issa aims to recognize the former president’s diplomatic efforts and their long-term impact on global relations.
