Trump Takes Side In Musk Vs Right Wing Fight

President-elect Donald Trump has voiced his support for the H-1B visa program, which allows highly-skilled workers to come to the U.S. for employment. This comes amid growing controversy, as his allies, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, have faced criticism from some factions within the Republican Party for backing the program, which is often criticized for its complexity and vulnerability to misuse.

In a phone interview with The New York Post, Trump stated, “I’ve always liked the visas, I’ve always supported the visas. That’s why we have them.” He went on to explain that his properties have employed many H-1B workers, adding, “I’ve used it many times. It’s a great program.”

Trump’s comments come at a time when his allies, Musk and Ramaswamy, who are poised to lead the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), have come under fire from figures like far-right activist Laura Loomer and other staunch anti-immigration Republicans. These critics have voiced concerns over the program and its potential for abuse.

The situation escalated further when Musk responded passionately on his platform, X, declaring, “The reason I’m in America, along with so many key people who built companies like SpaceX and Tesla, is because of the H-1B program.” He also vowed to vigorously defend the program, saying, “I will go to war on this issue the likes of which you cannot possibly comprehend.”
