Trump Sabotaged By Biden Judge

Trump Ordered to Pay $355 Million in Civil Fraud Case, Impacting Business Empire 🏛️

In a landmark ruling on Friday, a New York court mandated former President Donald Trump to pay a hefty sum of nearly $355 million in a civil fraud lawsuit, marking a significant setback for his business ventures. The 92-page verdict by Judge Arthur Engoron follows a prolonged trial highlighted by Trump’s vocal criticisms of both the judge and the prosecuting team.

The case, initiated by New York Attorney General Letitia James in 2022, accused Trump of inflating his net worth on crucial financial documents to gain benefits in taxes and insurance. These documents, which misrepresented the value of Trump Organization’s assets to banks and insurance companies, were alleged by the state to be fraudulent.

Including interest, Trump and his company’s liability might exceed $450 million, as per the attorney general’s office. Prior to the trial, Engoron had already found Trump, the Trump Organization, and key executives, including Trump’s adult sons, culpable of fraud.

The fine imposed is slightly less than the $370 million sought by the attorney general. Moreover, Trump is prohibited from engaging in New York business activities for three years. Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump are each fined over $4 million and face a two-year ban from holding executive positions in New York-based corporations.

Allen Weisselberg, the former CFO, faces a $1 million fine and a three-year business activity ban in New York. Both Weisselberg and former controller Jeffrey McConney are permanently barred from financial management roles in New York entities. Additionally, an independent monitor appointed by Engoron will oversee Trump’s business operations for the next three years, alongside the new role of an Independent Director of Compliance.

While an initial decision to revoke the defendants’ business certificates was overturned by the judge, it remains subject to renewal.

Attorney General James hailed the judgment as a significant triumph for equitable justice, emphasizing that it sends a clear message that no individual, regardless of their stature or wealth, is exempt from the law. She stressed that dishonest practices in securing loans undermine the integrity of hardworking citizens. “Donald Trump is now being held accountable for his extensive deceit and fraud,” James stated, reinforcing the principle that the law stands supreme for all.
