Trump Invited Biden Snubbed For This Great Event

Trump to Attend Notre Dame Cathedral Reopening in Paris

President-elect Donald Trump announced on Monday that he will attend the highly anticipated reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris next weekend.

“It is an honor to announce that I will be traveling to Paris, France, on Saturday to attend the reopening of the Magnificent and Historic Notre Dame Cathedral, which has been fully restored after a devastating fire five years ago,” Trump shared on Truth Social.

Trump praised French President Emmanuel Macron for his leadership in overseeing the restoration, stating, “President Macron has done a wonderful job ensuring that Notre Dame has been restored to its full level of glory, and even more so. It will be a very special day for all!”

The cathedral, an iconic symbol of France and global cultural heritage, was severely damaged in a fire during the spring of 2019. The blaze caused the spire and much of the wooden roof structure to collapse. At the time, Trump, then serving as president, expressed his sorrow over the tragedy during a public event in Minnesota.

“It’s one of the great treasures of the world,” Trump said then. “Probably greater than almost any museum in the world. And it’s burning very badly. It looks like it’s burning to the ground.”

During the fire, Trump took to social media to suggest the use of flying water tankers to combat the flames, prompting a response from French officials. France’s civil defense agency, Sécurité Civile, clarified that such measures could have led to the collapse of the cathedral’s fragile structure.

The reopening ceremonies for Notre Dame are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, according to the cathedral’s official website. The restored landmark will once again welcome visitors, marking a major milestone in its recovery and the preservation of cultural history.
