President Trump is urging Colorado to remove what he describes as a “purposefully distorted” portrait of him displayed in the State Capitol.
“In a place where portraits of all Presidents are showcased, the one they have of me is distorted to an extent that is unprecedented,” Trump commented on Truth Social. “The same artist painted President Obama, and his portrait turned out great, but mine is possibly the worst ever. It’s as if she lost her touch as she aged.”
Trump expressed that he would rather have no portrait than to keep the current one on display. He mentioned that many people in Colorado have contacted the state to have the portrait altered or taken down.
“I’m voicing their concerns to Governor Jared Polis, who is notoriously lax on crime, especially concerning the Tren de Aragua gang that nearly dominated Aurora thankfully, we intervened,” Trump stated. “Jared really ought to be embarrassed by this.”
