Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk kicked off a campaign tour in Pennsylvania on Thursday, voicing his strong support for former President Donald Trump as the election nears. Musk highlighted the strategic importance of Pennsylvania, a key battleground state.
Speaking at a town hall in Folsom, Musk stated, “I believe Pennsylvania is the crucial state in this election. The outcome of this election will determine the future of America, and by extension, the future of Western civilization.”
Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has aligned himself with Trump and announced plans to participate in several campaign events across the state in the final weeks leading up to the election. He committed to hosting “probably half a dozen” events in the Keystone State to rally support for Trump.
At the town hall, Musk emphasized the urgency of Pennsylvania’s voter registration deadline, encouraging attendees to register and motivate their friends and family to do the same before Monday’s deadline.
“The next few days are critical,” Musk said. “This election in Pennsylvania could be decided by a razor-thin margin—maybe 10,000 votes, maybe 1,000, or even just 10. Every additional person registered can make all the difference.”
Musk also reflected on his newfound political involvement, saying, “I haven’t been politically active before, but I am now because the future of America, and perhaps civilization, is at stake.”
Musk’s future campaign stops are expected to include major cities like Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia, according to his pro-Trump super PAC website.
