Trump Gets Great News In Recent Poll

According to a recent survey released on Thursday, nearly 60% of Americans anticipate that President-elect Trump will perform well during his second term in office. The CNN poll shows that 56% of respondents believe Trump will handle his presidential duties competently in his upcoming term. However, 43% of those surveyed think he will perform poorly, rating his potential as “fairly” or “very” poor.

The poll also reflects on the president-elect’s transition period, with 55% approving of how Trump is managing the transition, mirroring the approval ratings from a similar survey conducted in December. Opinions about Trump are split, with 46% of Americans viewing him favorably and 48% unfavorably.

Despite the Republican party controlling the White House, Senate, and House, 53% of those surveyed view this as negative for the country. Additionally, the economic outlook remains cautiously optimistic among Americans; 56% believe that economic conditions will improve or remain favorable over the next year.

There is also a strong expectation that Trump will implement tariffs on imports from major trading partners like China, Canada, and Mexico, with 80% of U.S. adults considering it likely during his term. This survey highlights a nation divided in its expectations and perceptions of the incoming administration’s potential impact.
