Special Poll
In the recent presidential election, Nevada saw a shift from its 2020 stance, choosing President-elect Trump with 50.7% of the vote over Vice President Harris, who garnered 47.4%. This result marks a significant change from the previous election, emphasizing Nevada’s role in Trump’s broader national success, where he has already secured the popular vote along with 301 electoral votes. Trump’s performance has him on the cusp of a clean sweep in all seven swing states, highlighting a strong showing against the Democrats.
Meanwhile, the results in other races showed mixed political alignments. Democratic incumbent Senator Jacky Rosen retained her seat in Nevada by a narrow margin, receiving 47.8% of the votes against Republican Sam Brown, who came close with 46.4%. This pattern of voters supporting Trump for president while electing Democrats in Senate races was also observed in other swing states like Wisconsin and Michigan.
In Arizona, another key battleground state, the presidential race remains undecided with Trump currently leading. Concurrently, Democrat Ruben Gallego is slightly ahead in a tight Senate race against Republican Kari Lake, with 49.5% of the votes compared to Lake’s 48.4% and most of the votes counted. These outcomes highlight the complex and varied political preferences among voters in swing states during this election cycle.
