Trump Falls Behind Kamala In July

Trump Campaign Raises $139M in July

Former President Trump’s campaign announced Thursday that it raised nearly $139 million in July, following a turbulent few weeks of the election season.

Trump and his authorized committees collected $138.7 million last month, bringing their total cash on hand to $327 million. The campaign’s announcement highlighted that these figures “reflect continued momentum with donors at every level and provide the resources for the final 96 days until victory on November 5th.”

July was a significant month for Trump’s reelection campaign. The former president survived an assassination attempt, formally accepted the GOP nomination at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and selected Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate in a highly anticipated announcement during the convention.

These fundraising numbers come after the CNN debate between Trump and President Biden, whose poor performance led many Democrats to urge him to step aside from the race. Biden announced his decision to withdraw on July 21 and later endorsed Vice President Harris for the nomination.

Meanwhile, Harris’s campaign has gained significant traction in its early weeks. Her campaign reported raising $200 million in just the first week, as Democrats rallied behind her and voter enthusiasm grew. Additionally, her campaign signed up more than 170,000 volunteers in the first week.
