Trump Exposes FBI

Former President Trump accused the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI of mishandling and downplaying an alleged assassination attempt against him.

Trump suggested the case should be handed over to Florida authorities, implying a lack of trust in federal agencies to handle the situation fairly.

He criticized the DOJ and FBI for being politically biased, claiming they are targeting him for political reasons and have been pursuing him aggressively since he first ran for president.

Trump expressed frustration with the “slap on the wrist” charges against the individual accused of attempting the assassination, arguing that the DOJ and FBI are failing to take the situation seriously.

He referenced multiple legal cases against him, including investigations into his handling of classified documents, the 2016 election, and his actions following the 2020 election.

Trump also mentioned his previous impeachments and fraud charges in New York as examples of what he views as ongoing political persecution.

He specifically called out FBI Director Christopher Wray for comments made after the first assassination attempt in July, criticizing the bureau for initially questioning whether a bullet was involved.

Trump expressed doubt in the ability of the Biden-Harris administration’s DOJ and FBI to fairly investigate the assassination attempts, citing “Election Interference” and “FAKE CASES.”

He indicated that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida authorities have agreed to take the lead on the investigation, suggesting that state-level charges would be more severe.

The individual accused, Ryan Wesley Routh, was charged with gun-related crimes after allegedly attempting to approach Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course with a rifle.

Florida’s governor, Ron DeSantis, announced the state’s own investigation into the matter, running alongside the federal investigation.

President Biden and his aides have maintained that the DOJ is independent and that he has no involvement in the investigations into Trump.

Trump continues to claim that the legal cases against him are politically motivated, labeling them as efforts to damage his chances in the upcoming election.
