Controversial Letter Claims Spark Outrage Amid Epstein Case Fallout
A newly surfaced report has reignited public scrutiny over past associations tied to the high-profile Epstein investigation this time involving an alleged letter bearing President Trump’s name.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the letter reportedly wished Epstein a happy birthday and included the phrase, “may every day be another wonderful secret.” The note was said to feature typewritten lines alongside a drawing of a nude woman, with Trump’s name signed just beneath the image.
The report arrives shortly after the Department of Justice declared it would not release further background materials tied to the Epstein case a decision that frustrated many who have pushed for transparency and deeper disclosures into the long-closed investigation.
President Trump forcefully denied any connection to the letter or the drawing, telling the Journal, “I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women. It’s not my language. It’s not my words.” He also threatened legal action against the newspaper if it proceeded with publishing the story.
Vice President JD Vance came to Trump’s defense, slamming the article as “complete and utter bullshit” in a strongly worded social media post. “They never even showed us the letter before running the story. Does anyone really believe this sounds like Donald Trump?” he asked.
The controversy comes on the heels of renewed public interest in the Epstein case. In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to state-level charges in Florida. He was later arrested in 2019 on federal charges involving the trafficking of minors. He died in custody that same year, with authorities ruling the death a suicide.
Earlier this month, the Justice Department announced the case is officially closed and pushed back against persistent rumors of a so-called “client list,” calling the theory unfounded. The statement has sparked backlash from segments of the public demanding accountability and full disclosure.
Though Trump’s name has previously appeared in publicly released documents related to Epstein, he has never been accused of any wrongdoing. While he once spoke favorably of Epstein before the financier’s first arrest, Trump has since distanced himself and minimized their past connection.
Far-right commentator Laura Loomer also denounced the letter story as bogus, writing, “This birthday letter is totally fake. Everyone who actually knows Trump knows he doesn’t type letters.” She has been among those calling for a special counsel to take over any remaining matters related to the Epstein case.
With the Department of Justice standing firm on its decision to close the investigation, the political firestorm surrounding Epstein’s legacy and the figures tied to him continues to unfold.
