Former President Trump responded to podcaster Joe Rogan after Rogan expressed his admiration for Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during his podcast. Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to question how Rogan might be received the next time he enters the UFC ring, hinting at potential backlash from his supporters with the post: “It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024.”
Rogan, on his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience,” had praised Kennedy, stating that he appreciates how Kennedy critiques actions and ideas rather than attacking people. Rogan described Kennedy as the only candidate who makes sense to him, highlighting his reasonable and intelligent approach to discussions.
Following backlash from some Republicans, Rogan clarified on social platform X that his remarks were not an endorsement of Kennedy but rather an appreciation for Kennedy’s civil and intelligent discourse. Rogan also mentioned in the same post that Trump’s actions after a recent assassination attempt, where Trump raised his fist and shouted “fight,” were one of the most “American” things he’d ever seen.
Rogan concluded by noting that he isn’t the person to go to for political advice, recommending instead comedian Dave Smith for those seeking more informed political commentary.
