Trump Backstabbed By Fox News Again

Trump Campaign Criticizes Fox News: Former President Trump’s campaign has launched an attack on Fox News after the network released polling data showing him trailing Vice President Kamala Harris in several key battleground states ahead of the November election.

Campaign’s Response: In a statement issued Thursday, the Trump campaign dismissed the polling results, stating, “It’s that time of year again. Fox is releasing atrocious polling. President Trump continues to outperform polling from past cycles.”

Comparison to 2020 Polling: The campaign highlighted that Trump is reportedly doing better than he did at the same point in 2020, noting that he is 10 points ahead in Arizona, 8 points ahead in Nevada, and 5 points ahead in North Carolina compared to his 2020 polling in those states.

Poll Results: The campaign’s statement referred to a poll released Wednesday that showed Harris leading in three of the four key Sun Belt states — Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada — with an overall lead of 1 point. In contrast, earlier Fox News polls showed President Biden trailing Trump in all four states in head-to-head matchups.

Trump’s Ongoing Criticism of Fox News: Despite regularly appearing for interviews with Fox News hosts and pundits, Trump has consistently criticized the network over its coverage of him. His frustration with Fox News dates back to election night in 2020, when the network made an early call for Biden in Arizona, sparking backlash from Trump’s close allies.

Debate Challenge: Trump has suggested a debate with Harris on Fox News, a proposal that has not been accepted by the Harris campaign. However, the two candidates are expected to face off on September 10 in a debate moderated by ABC News.
