Special Poll
Upcoming Town Halls: While it’s unclear if Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will debate again, both have agreed to participate in high-profile town halls hosted by Spanish-language media giant TelevisaUnivision.
Details on the Town Halls: The Trump campaign’s town hall, titled “Los Latinos Preguntan … Donald Trump Responde”, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. in Miami, Florida. Harris’s town hall, “Los Latinos Preguntan … Kamala Harris Responde”, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10 p.m. in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both town halls will be moderated by Televisa En Punto anchor Enrique Acevedo, with questions coming from undecided Hispanic voters.
Broadcast Information: The town halls will air on Univision and its streaming service ViX with a Spanish translation. English-language versions will be available on the Noticias Univision YouTube channel.
Statement from Univision: Daniel Coronell, president of Noticias Univision, emphasized the importance of these town halls, stating, “Noticias Univision serves as a two-way bridge: we bring every voice to our community while conveying the concerns of Latinos to those in power.” Coronell highlighted the significance of the Hispanic vote, noting that with more than 36 million eligible Hispanic voters, they have the power to influence the outcome of the U.S. presidential race.
Debate Uncertainty: These town halls could be one of the few unscripted appearances by the candidates before the election, especially with another debate between Harris and Trump still uncertain. Harris has previously agreed to a CNN debate, while Trump has appeared reluctant to commit to further debates following their first encounter.
