Loomer Criticizes Musk’s Role in Trump’s Circle: Calls Him a “Stage 5 Clinger”
Laura Loomer, a vocal supporter of President-elect Donald Trump, has publicly criticized Elon Musk, a key figure in Trump’s inner circle, referring to him as a “Stage 5 clinger.” Loomer’s remarks came during her appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, where she discussed Musk’s growing influence and his role in Trump’s administration.
Loomer noted that many people are hesitant to challenge influential billionaires like Musk. “He’s the wealthiest man in the world, and it feels like he’s gravitating around President Trump,” Loomer stated. She expressed concerns about Musk’s intentions, describing him as overly involved in Trump’s orbit.
Musk, who has been appointed to co-lead the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) alongside tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, has become a polarizing figure within Trump’s base. His support for controversial programs like the H-1B visa, aimed at attracting international talent, has sparked criticism from hardline immigration advocates, including Loomer.
On the podcast, Loomer accused Musk of overshadowing other voices in Trump’s circle. “Some people close to President Trump feel their influence is being diminished because of Musk’s growing proximity to him,” she said. Loomer questioned whether Musk genuinely supports Trump’s “America First” policies or if he has other motives.
The tensions extend to Musk’s social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), where Loomer and other conservative voices have faced backlash. According to Loomer, several accounts, including her own, lost premium features like verification and monetization, leading to allegations of censorship. Loomer suggested that these actions might stem from Musk’s personal disdain for her outspoken loyalty to Trump and her public challenges to Musk’s policies.
Loomer criticized the consolidation of power by billionaires in politics, regardless of their political leanings. “No matter which side of the aisle they’re on, it’s unacceptable for individuals to wield this much influence and access,” she asserted.
Despite the escalating tensions, Loomer remains optimistic that her account on X will be reinstated and monetized. She expressed regret over the situation but emphasized the importance of holding powerful figures accountable.
The evolving dynamics between Trump, Musk, and their supporters highlight deeper divisions within the political landscape as Inauguration Day approaches. Loomer’s critique sheds light on the challenges of navigating alliances in a world where political influence and technology intersect.
