Ocasio-Cortez Has A Mental Breakdown

Ocasio-Cortez Responds to Homan’s Remarks: ‘Maybe He Should Read the Constitution’

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) pushed back against former Trump administration official Tom Homan, after he suggested she could face consequences for her efforts to educate migrants about their rights under U.S. law.

Homan, who previously served as Trump’s “border czar,” appeared on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” earlier this week, questioning whether Ocasio-Cortez’s actions were interfering with law enforcement.

“Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts? And if so, what are we going to do about it? Is she crossing the line?” Homan asked, referencing a webinar she hosted to inform migrants of their legal protections.

He went on to say that he was working with the Department of Justice to determine whether legal action could be taken, adding, “Maybe AOC’s gonna be in trouble now.” He also suggested pulling federal funding from states that do not fully comply with deportation policies.

Ocasio-Cortez mocked Homan’s remarks in a post on the social media platform Bluesky.

“‘MaYbe shE’s goiNg to be in TroUble nOw,’” she wrote, mimicking his statement.

Then, she added, “Maybe he can learn to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start.”

The New York lawmaker has been outspoken against the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration policies, which include what the former president has promised will be the largest deportation operation in U.S. history.

She has also been a strong critic of Trump’s executive order attempting to bar birthright citizenship for children born in the U.S. to undocumented immigrants, calling it unconstitutional. So far, at least four federal judges have issued temporary blocks on the order. However, immigration raids are increasing across the country as enforcement efforts continue to escalate.
