Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly recently expressed her frustration with former President Trump’s lengthy and meandering conversation with Elon Musk, suggesting that his tendency to “ramble” could be related to his age.
During an episode of her podcast, “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly discussed how she has previously pointed out instances where Trump seemed to have “senior moments,” a criticism she believes has not sat well with him. She acknowledged that it’s her responsibility to address these issues, even if it’s uncomfortable.
Kelly’s remarks came after Trump participated in a 90-minute discussion with Musk on the social platform X. During the conversation, Trump recounted the attempted assassination against him and criticized Vice President Harris, his opponent in the upcoming election. Kelly, who has had a contentious relationship with Trump in the past, noted that his speaking style appeared less engaging than it used to be, attributing this change possibly to aging.
She highlighted that Trump’s speeches and interviews have become less focused, causing listeners to lose interest—something that wasn’t as common during his 2016 campaign. Kelly added that this shift presents a challenge for those in Trump’s inner circle, who are likely trying to keep him on track during public appearances.
As Trump prepares for another media briefing, Kelly’s comments reflect broader concerns among some conservatives about his ability to effectively communicate policy differences with his rivals, rather than relying on personal attacks.
