Kamala Still Sulking About What?

A campaign staff member for Vice President Harris has leveled accusations against entrepreneur Elon Musk, claiming he restricted the visibility of certain content on his social media platform, X (previously known as Twitter), to favor President-elect Trump in the lead-up to the 2024 elections.

Rob Flaherty, Deputy Campaign Manager for Harris, voiced concerns in a Semafor interview about Musk’s acquisition of X, highlighting its significant impact on the Democratic campaign. Flaherty described X as a crucial hub for engaging both influential elites and the general populace where political discourse often merges with cultural trends.

Flaherty expressed dismay, stating, “It became quite clear that the platform was being manipulated to serve almost as an extension of the Trump campaign, which certainly didn’t help our cause. It was evident that content from the center-left and left was being suppressed in favor of right-leaning narratives.”

Musk, known for his roles at Tesla and SpaceX, not only supported Trump through strategic influence but also contributed significantly to the campaign, donating nearly $239 million to the America PAC, a super PAC promoting Trump’s presidential aspirations. This was confirmed by recent filings with the Federal Election Commission.

Following the election, Musk has taken on a role in Trump’s upcoming administration, heading the newly formed ‘Department of Government Efficiency,’ aimed at reducing bureaucratic excess. His proximity to Trump was underscored by his recent appearance alongside the president-elect at a prominent college football event.
