Kamala Falls Big Time

With only two weeks remaining until Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris is holding narrow leads over former President Donald Trump in four pivotal swing states, while Trump is slightly ahead in two others, according to polling data released on Monday.

The Washington Post-Schar School survey gauged opinions from voters in seven key battleground states, which will be critical in determining the outcome of the election.

Among likely voters, Harris currently holds the advantage in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Trump, on the other hand, is leading in Arizona and North Carolina. Meanwhile, both candidates are tied in Nevada, with each garnering 48 percent support.

In Georgia, Harris has a 51 percent to 47 percent edge over Trump. Georgia, a state that President Biden narrowly won in 2020, has been a focal point for Harris’s campaign efforts in recent weeks.

Harris is also ahead in Wisconsin, with 50 percent to Trump’s 47 percent, and she leads by 2 percentage points in Michigan. Democratic governors Tony Evers of Wisconsin and Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan have been actively campaigning alongside Harris to support her bid for the presidency.

Pennsylvania, which holds 19 valuable electoral votes, is expected to be one of the most competitive states in this election. Currently, Harris leads there with 49 percent of the vote, compared to Trump’s 47 percent.

In Arizona, a state that narrowly went to Biden in 2020, immigration has become a significant issue this election cycle. Trump has concentrated on this state and is currently leading with 49 percent to Harris’s 46 percent, according to the poll.

Trump also holds a slight lead in North Carolina, with 50 percent support compared to Harris’s 47 percent. Both candidates are planning campaign stops in North Carolina, where recent natural disasters, such as Hurricane Helene, have impacted the western part of the state.
