Biden’s Thoughts And Prayers For Trump

President Biden Addresses Nation After Trump is Injured in Rally Shooting

On Saturday, President Biden addressed the nation shortly after former President Trump, his 2024 opponent, was injured in a shooting at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

Biden informed reporters that he had attempted to contact Trump and hoped to speak with him soon.

“Look, there’s no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick. It’s sick,” Biden stated. “We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this,” he emphasized, urging everyone to condemn the act.

Biden mentioned that he would continue receiving updates from federal agencies about the incident and noted that Trump seemed to be “doing well” so far.

When asked if the shooting was an assassination attempt, Biden said he did not have enough information to comment.

The incident occurred while Trump was on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Gunshots were heard, and Secret Service agents quickly intervened. Trump’s ear was bloodied, and blood was visible on his face. Despite the injury, Trump pumped his fist toward the crowd as he was escorted away by law enforcement.

The Trump campaign released a statement confirming that the former president “is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”

According to the Butler County District Attorney, the suspected shooter is dead, and a rally attendee was killed.

Before speaking on camera, Biden issued a statement condemning the violence and expressing gratitude that Trump was safe.

In response to the shooting, the Biden campaign announced it would pause its outbound communications and work to remove its television ads as quickly as possible.
