Biden Sabotages Trump

Trump Blames Inflation on Biden, Says He Had ‘Nothing to Do With It’

President Donald Trump is making it clear he does not believe he is responsible for the recent rise in inflation. In a recent interview, Trump insisted that inflation had “nothing to do” with his return to office, instead placing the blame squarely on the policies of former President Joe Biden.

Speaking with Fox News host Sean Hannity, alongside tech billionaire Elon Musk, Trump expressed frustration over what he called reckless government spending under Biden’s administration.

“Inflation is back. Think about it, it’s back,” Trump said during the interview. “And now they’re trying to blame me? I had nothing to do with that.”

He argued that the previous administration had spent money at unprecedented levels, claiming, “These people ran the country into the ground. They spent money like no one has ever spent before. They were given $9 trillion, and they just threw it away $9 trillion!”

Trump also criticized key pieces of legislation passed during Biden’s presidency, specifically taking aim at environmental and climate initiatives. “They spent money on what I call the ‘Green New Scam’ one of the biggest scams in the history of this country. Maybe not the only one, but definitely one of the biggest in terms of dollars.”

His remarks appeared to reference the Inflation Reduction Act, a major climate and health care bill Biden signed into law in 2022.

Recent government reports show that inflation in the U.S. picked up more than expected last month. Prices for everyday essentials, including gas, housing, and groceries, have all risen. The consumer price index, which tracks inflation, showed a 3 percent increase compared to the same time last year, slightly higher than December’s 2.9 percent.

With rising costs continuing to put pressure on American households, the debate over who is responsible for inflation and how to fix it remains a major topic as Trump and Biden prepare for a likely 2024 rematch.
