Among these candidates, Nikki Haley shows the most significant lead against President Biden, with an 8-point advantage (53% to 45%). This lead is attributed to her stronger appeal to moderates and Independent voters compared to Trump and DeSantis.

The poll highlights that 59% of independent voters would choose Haley over Biden. In comparison, DeSantis and Trump would receive 55% and 54% support from independents, respectively.

In a head-to-head matchup with Biden, DeSantis garners 51% support compared to Biden’s 48%. The contest between Biden and Trump, both considered front-runners for the 2024 election, is the most competitive among the GOP candidates. In this scenario, 50% of respondents favor Trump, while 48% support Biden.

Despite these figures, Trump maintains a substantial lead in the GOP primary race. The survey shows Trump with 69% support among GOP voters, followed by DeSantis at 14% and Haley at 12%.

The poll, conducted from January 10th to 12th, surveyed 2,870 adults and has a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points. It also includes responses from 786 likely Republican primary voters, with a margin of error of 4.7 percentage points.
