Special Poll
According to a new Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll released on April 3, 2023, President Joe Biden’s approval rating has remained relatively stable since he took office in January, with 57% of Americans approving of his job performance.
The poll also found that 53% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the economy, while 43% disapprove. This marks a slight decrease from the previous AP-NORC poll conducted in February, which found that 56% of Americans approved of Biden’s handling of the economy.
However, the poll also revealed some concerns among Americans about the state of the economy. Only 32% of Americans believe that the economy is “good” or “excellent,” while 67% describe it as “not so good” or “poor.” Additionally, 64% of Americans believe that the country is headed in the wrong direction, compared to 36% who think it is headed in the right direction.
The poll also touched on a number of other issues, including Biden’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, immigration, and foreign policy. According to the poll, 62% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the pandemic, while 34% disapprove. On immigration, 45% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the issue, while 54% disapprove. And on foreign policy, 48% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the issue, while 51% disapprove.
Overall, the poll suggests that while Biden’s approval rating remains relatively stable, there are concerns among Americans about the state of the economy and the direction of the country. As the Biden administration continues to address these and other issues, it remains to be seen how his approval rating will evolve in the coming months.
